What is the meaning of this?[edit]

I find "Boutros Gemayel (11 June 1988 – 29 October 2008 withdrawn)". How did you get "withdrawn"? He retired at that time. "Withdrawn" suggested to me that the appointment didn't take effect. Carlm0404 (talk) 01:28, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
