Birth / Death dates[edit]

The U.S. Social Security Death Index lists an R. Hesse with a birth date of 15 July 1937, a death month of September 1988, and a death location of Queens, NY, which seems to correspond to the lifespan in the Village Voice obituary. "United States Social Security Death Index," index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/JKK4-YX3 : accessed 13 Mar 2013), R Hesse, September 1988.--Larrybob (talk) 19:19, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Abbe Michaels, co-writer of memoir[edit]

This bio of musician Azalia Snail says that under the byline Abbe Michaels she co-wrote "I Was a White Slave in Harlem." In a 2009 interview with Norman Reedus he mentions working on a film version of the book, and says "It’s written by Abbie Michaels, (Azalia Snail)." (sic) Also, an archive version of the website of filmmaker Erika Yeomans mentions her co-writing a screenplay based on "I Was a White Slave in Harlem" with Abbe Michaels and includes a link to Azalia Snail's website. --Larrybob (talk) 19:53, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
