Rename article[edit]

Per MOS:JAPAN#Titles of media tildes are not allowed. However, double colons seem strange. lullabying (talk) 10:00, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What about Map of the Soul: 7 - The Journey? --Chiyako92 13:50, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Chiyako92: That sounds good. I'll go ahead and rename the article. lullabying (talk) 20:22, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Producer credit for Outro: The Journey[edit]

Kleool what do we do about the missing producer credit for the outro track? Tidal doesn't have a producer credit listed and Melon only has writer/composer credits. I don't have access to a physical album to check the liner notes. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 23:44, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Carlobunnie: sadly, i do not own my own copy either (i didn't buy it). But the international release is scheduled for August 7th (July 15th was for Korea/Japan), so it's possible that someone will be willing to share (i'll probably ask around twitter for scan/pic if nothing comes up by mid-august)Kleool (talk) 05:44, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Kleool: all the scans I've seen on Twitter so far are just of the photo portions of the pbs and not the credits but I've asked a few people so hopefully someone will oblige. I always prefer using the credits directly from the physical albums myself (the issues w going strictly by digital sources as you saw in the page history is why) but that's harder this particular rounds as I haven't bought it either. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 06:10, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Carlobunnie: Hi! Found an unboxing on youtube, where the person filmed the credits page(s) - starts at 4:25 of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZGA6bExNbU , and at 4:43 can see that for OUTRO producer is UTA (which i'll add now)Kleool (talk) 18:08, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Kleool: excellent! That's a really good unboxing he did. Everything is so clear. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 18:35, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Record Label[edit]

Carlobunnie I am confused about the label of this album. It should be only Universal Music Japan (legally called UNIVERSAL MUSIC LLC), since that's the label BTS are signed to. And on the Universal Music Group site it says there's only two label in Japan Universal Music Japan and Office Augusta https://www.universalmusic.com/labels/global/ . Furthermore, on Universal Music Japan website it says the label is divided into 5 sub-labels UNIVERSAL J, UNIVERSAL SIGMA, Virgin MUSIC, EMI and ZEN MUSIC https://www.universal-music.co.jp/business/. So I suggest only using Universal Music Japan should be enough. -- (talk) 13:15, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Rupturestriker: lol you were the one that added the other labels to the infobox remember? Previously I argued for Big Hit Ent as the label (that's what was listed all the time), but the CD says it's a Virgin Music release (it's also on the side tab), and that the album was manufactured/distributed by Universal Music. (I know that they signed with Def Jam in 2017, but I've never seen anything say they're signed to UMJ, only that UMJ is their distributor). BB Japan cites Universal Japan as "publisher", and I take that to mean manufacturer/distributor, though I guess one could argue that that's open to interpretation? You should ask on the WP:ALBUMS talk page, or on the WP:KOREA talk page, and see if other editors can provide more insight. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 22:16, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
