Micrococcaceae is not a genus. It is a family. Do you mean Micrococci instead? (Dan (talk) 07:28, 29 January 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Page title[edit]

Perhaps it's better to move this page to "Mannitol salt agar", in accordance with the rules concerning article names and capitalisation. For some reason, I can't find the move/rename button that is referred to in WP:Move, but it would be nice if someone else could do it (and perhaps tell me more about this move thingy on my talk page).

Coagulase and Mannitol Salt Agar[edit]

Page currently says that a yellow color change is indicative of coagulase positive in Staphylococcus. This is properly referenced and the reference does indeed say that, but this fact is incorrect. Yellow coloring is only indicative of mannitol fermentation, and some species of Staphylococcus, such as S. saprophyticus, are coagulase negative but ferment mannitol. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.118.118.118 (talk) 18:53, 8 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
