McMorrow's daughter[edit]

The article called McMorrow's only child her "first child." This assumes she will have multiple children. It is the same as referring to Barack Obama as Michelle Obama's "first husband." I reworded it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by D.Holt (talkcontribs) 12:29, 7 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please add more about her own family life and brothers and sisters[edit]

It would be nice to know more about her past and struggles as a child and younger woman. Did she struggle with her own sexuality? How old was she when she took interest and supported LGBTQ.

Support for renewable energy[edit]

The article claims "She supports LGBT rights, renewable energy initiatives, and gun control," however the article cited at best weakly supports these claims. For LGBTQ+ and gun control she supported pride month and gun awareness month, both of which have at best a tenuous connection to LGBTQ+ rights and gun control. However, more serious is the claim to support renewable energies, justified by a bill she supported to expand EV charging stations. Setting aside other problems with EVs, EVs are only as renewable as the power plants used to charge them, and according to the US EIA (https://www.eia.gov/state/print.php?sid=mi), Michagan is mostly fossil fuel powered (32% coal and 27% natural gas) and nuclear (30%), with renewables constituting a mere 11% of power generation. I don't see how coal and natural gas powered EVs constitute "renewable energy." Even nuclear is dubious in the regard. Had she supported this bill with another promoting renewable power, this might be different, but EVs charging on coal power is not much better than standard gasoline vehicles. 136.36.98.234 (talk) 21:48, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
