disambiguate triton[edit]

The unusual name "triton" was first used in reference to observation of supernumerary limbs containing bone and muscle growing the backs of tritons after the implantation of the sciatic nerve into the soft tissues of the back.

Tscherskia triton or Mus triton or triton (gastropod)? —Tamfang (talk) 00:24, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

None of the above, but newts of the genus Triturus! Or or when have you heard of a GASTROPOD growing "supernumerary limbs"? 131.111.184.8 (talk) 09:35, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
