Suggest renaming article to Magdalen Island penny token[edit]

This is the name it is commonly referred to in coin collector references. I've never heard of the current title ("Trader's Currency Token of the Magdalen Islands") being used in any of the Canadian coin books I have access to. The current title is more a generic description of what it is rather than it is commonly known as. Captmondo (talk) 15:44, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Empire or Commonwealth[edit]

At the time of the issues of coins in question, the British Commonwealth did not yet exist. What did exist was the British Empire. Collectors of British Commonwealth coins are likely to also collect British Empire coins and vice versa, but the article must be accurate. Hu 04:35, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
