I am inclined to accept the nomination of a good article, going criterion by criterion, I see that all are met: Well Written: it's written to standard Wikipedia format, it doesn't sound like it was written by a middle schooler

Factually Accurate: 57 in line references, somewhat controversial statements in coaching career section are all well referenced

Broad in Coverage: addresses early life, college career, professional career, coaching career, and death

Neutral: if I were to choose one of the criteria to nit-pick with a little bit, this would probably be it, especially in the lead section, I noticed a "weasel word" but looking back I'm having issues pinpointing it at the moment

Stable: Batard has spent a lot of time on this article, but other than that, no significant changes day-to-day

Illustrated: well captioned photo in infobox

Just want to note I'm here and am happy to make any changes, etc., as needed. I can tone down the lead a bit if you think it's too POV, i.e. "Speedie is regarded as one of the best receivers of his era" could be removed perhaps.
