Shield winner direct bye?[edit]

I do remember reading about MLS discussing the possibility of having the Cup final at the higher seeds home arena, but never directly to the Shield winner. Unless, of course he said the Shield winner gets a direct-bye to the final. Anyone know any reference to that? Quidster4040 (talk) 02:50, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sounders FC to group stage?[edit]

Unless I'm mistaken, the Sounders' victory in the US Open Cup also gives them a berth in the group stage. Would the fourth spot go to the second runner-up for the Shield or the loser of the Open Cup final? Bjory7 (talk) 09:58, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
