Untitled[edit]

Created the article because Lucid Nation is a big part of the garage-rock music genre, as well as riot grrrl. --Andrew 05:54, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Are you sure you want to word it this way?[edit]

"...has managed to keep under the radar of mass media for over a decade." That's hilarious. We all know how much bands hate media attention.  :-) dbtfztalk 05:56, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

yes, because it came from Tamra herself in a AIM conversation we had. Also, it it made obvious through the band's Myspace and official site. You can message Tamra yourself at www.myspace.com/lucidnation if you want. --Andrew 06:03, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If so, then she must hate you for writing this article, huh? --Mikeblas 15:06, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

actually, I like the way you edited it, so never mind! --Andrew 06:05, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

September 2021 edits[edit]

After reseraching them, they really haven't been influential in material way. According to their website, they have only played one show in the last 20 years. They seem to be very interested in self-promotion but haven't managed to accomplish much so I can't agree that they were a "big part" of garage-rock or riot grrrl. — Preceding unsigned comment added by COIRobotuser (talkcontribs) 22:23, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

COI editor[edit]

After five years of editing the page, user Theinfinite314 has declared that they are connected to the band. The page has been cut down, but it may require further edits. --- Possibly 20:05, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Requested edit[edit]

Stage name is not Tamara it's Tamra, those are also published pen names. I have COI as an associate of the band.Theinfinite314 (talk) 21:26, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Theinfinite314, I've changed this to the {{Request edit}} template—use that for requesting edits on pages you have a COI with. Perryprog (talk) 22:06, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Perryprog. I hope I'm doing this right. {{Request edit}}. Here is a solid source for the membership of Patty Schemel, Larry Schemel and Greta Brinkman in this band. https://drummagazine.com/lived-through-that-patty-schemel/ I have a COI as I am associated with this band. I am not paid.Theinfinite314 (talk) 22:44, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

All done. --- Possibly 23:17, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Requested edit #2[edit]

A solid source for the importance of Lucid Nation to the riot grrrl movement p.53, paragraph 1, Anarchism and Art: Democracy in the Cracks and on the Margins by Mark Matten. State University of New York Press, 2016. Possible review to replace Magnet review? This from p.28, Out Magazine, Dec 2002. https://books.google.com/books?id=u2IEAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA28&dq=%22Lucid+Nation%22

The request is too vague. Please state exactly what you want changed. --- Possibly 14:42, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your continuing patience with my ignorance, I appreciate it.

Please add Tia Sprocket to the past band members list. https://www.laweekly.com/rock-just-lost-one-of-its-fiercest-outlaws-tia-sprocket/

And please consider adding this to the review section: Pam Huwig of Out Magazine wrote: Out lesbian and former Hole drummer Patty Schemel has blazed music lovers a clear path out of the vacuous suck-hole that much of rock music has become. Judging by her sound with her new band, Lucid Nation, Schemel could easily be called one of the best hard-hitting drummers of all time. Even late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham would have been challenged keeping up with her flawless licks. Tacoma Ballet is part music, part literary genius. Its 32 tracks flop between true garage punk, moody psychedelia, blues, and classic rock. With lead singer-poet Tamra Spivey, the entire disc sweats rage, dark humor, and orgasmic energy. https://books.google.com/books?id=u2IEAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA28&dq=%22Lucid+Nation%22#v=onepage&q=%22Lucid%20Nation%22&f=false Theinfinite314 (talk) 18:28, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
