Latvia, not Lithuania[edit]

He was born in Courland, which is in southern Latvia, not Lithuania. Family tree here: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/about/LL4M-CVS 71.172.27.187 (talk) 03:03, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

In this source[1], Bean stated that he was born in Lithuania. However, another source (FDR Library[2]) claimed "Bean was born in Russia (Courland)".--SilverReaper (talk) 12:30, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Is there any information about his birth name? No matter whether he was born in Latvia or Courland or Lithuania (all of which were part of Russia at the time), it is very unlikely that his original name was Louis H. Bean (or Louis Hyman Bean). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:14D:8A00:9E10:7481:710A:90F9:DA69 (talk) 18:26, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
