Advice[edit]

Hi Affi Ali! My main suggestion for further improvements to the article is to look at the Manual of Style for how to section the article. As far as I can tell, "longevity medicine" is a specialty, and you have already described the training well. It would be worth also discussing the scope and history of the specialty. If you need help with spelling, punctuation, or grammar, you can contact Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors or ask for further help from WikiProject Medicine. Issues[edit]

Bibeyjj already mentioned the layout problem. There are other problems:

  • The article is a WP:POVFORK of Age management medicine (Longevity medicine redirects to it). That article is overall critical of the discipline, and there it is categorized as alternative medicine, while here there is only talk of "medicine".
  • While the other, older (and at a glace more conforming to the norms), article is critical, this article is highly affiriming of the discipline, giving rise to doubts about neutrality.
  • Someone with knowledge of medicine and/or alternative medicine should determine if there is misinformation by analyzing the provided sources; are these really valid sources, and does the text follow the sources; should this be categorized as medicine or alternative medicine?
  • It may be the case (just a possibility) that the article gives undue weight, in this context, to the accomplishments of mentioned individuals such as Steven Horvath; is that Steve Horvath? twsabin 17:51, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
There has been a lot of new knowledge produced recently in the primary literature on the medical (and lifestyle) management of longevity. Little if any of that has reached the clinic. But this field is probably no longer best categorized as "alternative medicine." These articles (Age management medicine and Longevity medicine) should probably be merged - but neither currently is a good reflection of the field, so more than reformatting is necessary - new material needs to be added; old material updated. This current Longevity medicine article has limited perspective and has the other issues noted above. I am going to see if I can recruit someone else to help with editing. Otherwise I might have time in a few months. There are some review articles and other WP:MEDRS. Jaredroach (talk) 19:46, 8 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
