Will there be Kaithi 2?[edit]

He confirmed that Kaithi 2 will kickstart once Lokesh Kanagaraj completes his works for 'Thalapathy 67'. So, we can expect the shooting of 'Kaithi 2' to commence by the end of next year. Vikram Sequel[edit]

For the unversed, Kaithi starring Karthi was Lokesh's second film as a director. In other words, Vikram is a sequel-of-sorts of Kaithi. In a recent interview with Film Companion, Kamal Haasan revealed that there is a connection between the 1986 film and the upcoming one.
