Untitled[edit]

Shouldn't this article be about a village where alleged war crimes occured during the Albanian uprising in Macedonia? At least according to the ICTFY. Rmhermen 15:18, Mar 15, 2005 (UTC)

I agree. But then wouldn't someone have to make a page about the alleged purpotrators, Johan Tarculovski and Ljube Boskovski ... so little is known about their background, not to mention that they are innocent and being tried at an illegal institution. I think that Johan has been freed though ... --****

Ljuboten's location[edit]

Please write true information about this mountain peak. Someone wrote: "Mount Ljuboten is located in the south part of Kosovo, near the border with Macedonia." Since Kosovo is integral part of Serbia and Montenegro, it is more accepted to be: "... located at the border between Republic of Macedonia and Serbia and Montenegro (in the part with Kosovo).". The Name Of Ljuboten[edit]

Someone with the IP address 80.80.170.122 at May 27th 2008 wrote this about Ljuboten: "The name of this mountains is a remain of french language that mean 'The beatufile mountain' (La bella Ten)".

Can anyone confirm that this is true?

Also, can you provide more information related to the name of mountain peak Ljuboten?

It seems to be some sort of folk etymology; "the beautiful mountain" would be "la belle montagne" in French. This theory has been added before (you can look through the history), with different versions of the "French" each time. It seems more likely that it gets its name from a Macedonian, Serbian or Albanian word anyway, but I don't know about that. Balkan Fever 07:18, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello to all, I'm interesting in the etymology of the name Ljuboten cause the same name is found twice in greece in the region of Thessaly and east Macedonia as "Livotanio" and "Ljuvotani" respectively. Can someone give me a answer about the origin of the name beyond the folk etymology?
