Just to be clear, their music video, "is Shaniqua there?" was NEVER POPULAR. NEVER!! It never even cracked any list of popular songs and never talked about - mostly talked about how bad and pointless the lyrics and music's premise was about, even that was rarely talked about. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.32.44.112 (talk) 04:16, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • In response to the above unreferenced claim, I offer this: "There’s no better way to start this column off than by featuring a hit single lost to the sands of time. 'Shaniqua (Don’t Live Here No More)' was one of the hottest singles in the nation in 2001 — securing a coveted spot on Total Request Live and filling up alt-rock radio waves."[1] Sadchild (talk) 14:55, 19 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Here's another reference about the popularity of "Shaniqua": TRL Archive September 2001: Thursday, September 6, 2001 #10) Little T and One Track Mike "Shaniqua"[2] Sadchild (talk) 16:15, 19 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
