Should Kamala Harris be in this list?[edit]

Kamala Harris is the 49th vice president but she did run for president in 2020 but did not receive nomination so it's technically true she's a vice president who once ran for president before becoming vice president. The article isn't clear on the rules of inclusion. Maybe there should be a separate list for vice presidents who ran for president before becoming vice president? The intent of this article is about incumbent vice presidents and former vice presidents, who are not also former presidents, running for President. Therefore at this point in time Harris is not eligible to be included. The clear intent of this article is about incumbent or former vice presidents making a case on why they should be president. Former vice presidents who are also former presidents does not count because voters have seen what they are like as president. It also states clearly in the first sentence: "have attempted a run for the presidency after being elected vice president." 49.3.72.79 (talk) 13:15, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
For the reasons stated above, Harris is not eligible to be included in this list. Also, there is no need for a separate list of "vice presidents who ran for president before becoming vice president" as that is trivial and beyond the scope of this list article. Knowing now the rules of inclusion, if you believe the introduction could be improved, please make/suggest new wording. Drdpw (talk) 15:24, 18 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Should there be an asterisk for T Roosevelt Truman LBJ and Ford? 2600:1700:F9D0:1D00:F035:9D41:78FA:CD8E (talk) 13:55, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
