Untitled[edit]

Just starting the page since news will begin filtering out shortly about who is or isn't starting. DocOctopus (talk) 21:47, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Let's add the national champion jerseys some how as that helps viewers with identification (which is probably what most use this page for). DocOctopus (talk) 14:49, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That proposal was rejected some time ago at WT:CYC. Kevin McE (talk) 23:23, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Order of DNFs and DNSs[edit]

I put the sort order for three riders who have now abandoned. Van de Walle is clearly P198, decided to put Brajkovic ahead of Kern since he was higher placed (16th vs 132nd) after stage 4. BleuDXXXIV (talk) 17:57, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edited before I saw this. I would have argued for Kern above Brajkovic, as he completed more km, but there is no problem, I would suggest, with placing both of them at 196 (or 197), and then the order they appear in will be determined by the ranking previous used by the viewer. Anything else is probably OR: ASO do not declare which of them did better. Kevin McE (talk) 20:47, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Team Nationality Flags[edit]

I have noticed on the tour de france website that each of the teams is listed as being registered with a particular country - Should the same thing be done to this list? Bevstarrunner (talk) 08:20, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Consensus at WP:CYC has been against attributing nationality to teams, mainly because many are in essence nominal nationalities for tax purposes, and give no real information about the make-up, scheduling, rivalries, training base, sponsors' priorities, or anything else meaningful. It is a mere technical detail for registration. Kevin McE (talk) 16:02, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
