initial list with around 60 entries was taken directly from http://eng.tango.info/singers
what factor would decide whether to bold an entry?

Regarding bolding some singers, I bolded out thouse I consider to be important (renown, fame, nro of LPs sold, international recognition), but had no general uniform criteria. Yet I feel its positive to outline singers that some how outstand from the rest. -Mariano 07:48, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

well but I would maybe bold others (Vargas, Beron). Maybe cannot solve this until we have some more info on discs sold etc. I never thought D'Agostini, Mores, Tanturi, Firpo to be singers. Mmm, you got a point there. Firpo was no singer, for sure. For the others, I don't know. Please, remove those you think are not singers, and bold those you think are to be highlighted. -Mariano 07:14, 8 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the bolding as inappropriate. We can't be making editorial judgements -- if a reader wants to know which ones are most important, he'll read tango music. This should just be an alphabetical links, maybe with some brief bio notes. Tuf-Kat 08:24, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Initial list[edit]

While I have combined the initial list with a second one, and added one other name I could verify and reference, I couldn't get the original list's reference to load up properly. Is the original now defunct? TheGrappler 23:29, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sources?[edit]

Are the two tango websites (the ones with the "TT" footnotes) actually reliable sources. I am a bit doubtful that they demonstrate the notability of the entries in this list. IronGargoyle (talk) 22:38, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
