Shouldn't this page include specific per state and county/city level sources? Rabbitbunny (talk) 20:44, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Custom Law for Louisiana?[edit]

I've reverted ([1]} the addition of a "custom law" SA because it referenced Louisiana. Does not apply because LA is a non-common law (e.g., civil law) jurisdiction. With this in mind, how does custom law apply in LA? Please explain.--S. Rich (talk) 04:53, 1 February 2011 (UTC)04:54, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

English precedents[edit]

In State of Vermont v. State of New Hampshire in 1933 the U.S. Supreme Court cited (1) an order-in-council signed by King George III in 1764 and (2) an act passed by the legislature of Vermont during the years when it was an unrecognized state in rebellion against New York. Where do these fit in, in a list of sources of law? Michael Hardy (talk) 21:31, 3 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Treaties[edit]

I wonder if treaties should be included as a category either within federal statutes or in addition to it AndersonMichaelJoseph (talk) 19:22, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
