X metre classes[edit]

There seems to be a lack of consistency about the names used for these. The template Template:Keelboats worldwide uses names of the form 12 Metre (keelboat), but I found the 12-metres at 12-metre class. I didn't check to see if we already had articles for others that currently are red links in this template. Not sure what the right thing is, just making a note of the problem. Fleets Category[edit]

Hello, I removed the "Fleets" column from the Olympic-class and Dinghies tables, because there was only one entry - List of Snipe Fleets - out of all the boats. If someone feels it's necessary I can add it back, but at this point considering the lack of information and lists of fleets, I think it is a wasted column that can never be filled. Multihull types[edit]

they should be categorized by size: beach/dinghy sized or regular. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.149.61.151 (talk) 23:20, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Confusing title of list[edit]

I'm a little confused by the scope of the list which seems to be different to the given title. This appears to be a list of sailing-boat sport classes rather than actually a list of sailing boat types. I came here looking for ketches, feluccas, dhonies, and sloops — all of which are sailing boats — but instead found 49ers, Laser 2s, J/70s, and Farr 45s. Wouldn't List of sailing-boat sport classes or similar be a more appropriate name? Grutness...wha? 12:35, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
