It seems to me that one should not "co-opt" celebrities into this category without reliable references. For one thing it could be considered libelous. I have googled one or two and there are references out there. --Steve M Kane (talk) 14:34, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just "being blatantly skinny" is not enough - it is not a psychiatric diagnosis - or a confession.--Steve M Kane (talk) 14:37, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

References are extremely important for this article, which deals with the sensitive issue of a mental illness diagnosis and many, mostly living, celebrities. Per Wikipedia's policy on biographies of living persons, any names that cannot be reliably referenced should be removed from the list. Many of the celebrities who are known sufferers of Anorexia have been quite forthcoming discussing their diagnoses in interviews; this would be a good place to start for referencing, as many examples already have shown. I have already added and cross-checked some names; I hope some other people might be willing to help me with this. Unless names can be cross-checked and reliable references provided, I feel this is an article where it is pertitent to remove those names from the list even if it shortens the article significantly. Being libelous is a real danger here because of the sensitivity of the subject matter, and it does a real disservice to both the figures being discussed and other sufferers of the illness if people are named for the list just based on their public image or press speculation. 124.170.5.8 (talk) 12:25, 19 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Pro-ana[edit]

I'm worried this is becoming pro-ana. Girls will read it and think "oh, I want to be like her". There are just too many celebs on here... 125.255.46.14 (talk) 09:53, 8 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
