This list excludes 12 new mammal species based on WWF's Newly discovered species of New Guinea report. See: this source for more details. It gives a download link for the report, but I have no idea about the copyright matter. Thanks -- Uondre talk 03:49, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That list includes Hylomys megalotis, which does not occur anywhere near New Guinea, as well as at least two species that do not occur in PNG, only on the other side of the border. Regardless of that, it is true that this list needs to be updated, since there have been many taxonomic changes with New Guinean mammals. Ucucha 11:26, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, are future introduced species on this list? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.215.127.218 (talk) 05:16, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The intent of the list is to include "species recorded in Papua New Guinea", so if the species are not there, they shouldn't be included in the list. If there's a problem with the list, let us know. SchreiberBike | ⌨ 05:51, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
