A lot of these seem fishy[edit]

This list seems to not have a consistent rational behind what counts and what doesn't. For example, there's functionally no continuity between "Merrie Melody/Looney Tune" cartoons yet they're on the list here, "Evangelion" as far as I know is a self contained story, and the only hint at a "Disney Animated CGI Musical" universe is an easter egg of Rapunzel in Frozen that the creators have said was just for fun and doesn't mean anything. "The Pixar Universe" is debunked on the actual 'shared universes' page as well. I'm not a regular editor so I don't feel comfortable making such huge edits without bringing it up here first. 24.61.49.67 (talk) 00:38, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

incompletely and of questionable usefulness[edit]

By definition all fantasy and science fiction stories create their own fictional universe and a number of other genres can create those as well like the vast network of organized crime in the John Wick movies.

As such this list will not be complete without linking literally all fantasy and science fiction stories / franchises, also distinguishing between separate versions, e.g. Gundam has a number of different sub-universes with different history and technology, and as mentioned non fantasy or science fiction stories like John Wick.

And since stories featuring features obviously not part of the real world will intrinsically and automatically create new fictional universes every time they do not coincide with existing fiction universes, the list would have to be updated with most of them to fulfill its purpose.

Additionally, all information in this list is readily available in other articles, like the creator or year of creation of the fiction universe as this coincides with the publishing date of the first entry of media set in this fiction universe and even in cases where the fictional universe might have been created significantly earlier than the first entry, e.g. the Malazan universe famous was created many years before any book set there was published, this information, when available, is not listed here either but in the articles of the fictional universe or its first entry in question. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:16B8:4963:B200:F067:8AB7:96DA:F7C7 (talk) 10:56, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
