This article is written in British English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, travelled, centre, defence, artefact, analyse) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.

Russia, South Korea[edit]

Maybe Russia and South Korea have accredited ambassadors elsewhere, because they are missing in the official list at the source here: [1] and [2]. Alinor (talk) 17:45, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No honorary consulates in the diplomatic missions lists[edit]

The list should not include honorary consulates, including the one which user User:173.14.216.62 keeps adding, i.e. the Danish consulate general in Yaoundé.

The Danish consulate general in Yaoundé is indeed honorary and is headed by Mr Hans Winther Nielsen, a private individual who's been living and working in Cameroon for decades: [3]. Please pay particular attention to the phrasing in the document which says "Honorary consul".

The Danish Ministry for Foreign Affairs have never had a policy of discriminating between career consulates (which are diplomatic missions that are included in these lists) and honorary consulates on their website. I'm sure you wouldn't claim also that the Danish consulate is Bangui, the Central African Republic is a genuine career consulate [4] or Djibouti [5] or Togo [6] or Swaziland [7] etc. etc. only because the Danish MFA do not indicate the honorary nature of the missions specifically?

Reply: I am a native of Yaounde and I have seen the location of the Danish consulate. It looks nothing like an honorary consulate, conspicuously waving the Danish flag and specifically indicating that it is the Danish consulate. Moreover, the Danish ministry of foreign affairs indicates it is a consulate general, indicating it certainly is a consulate of more importance than an honorary consulate or a simple consulate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.14.216.62 (talk) 00:19, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
