Untitled[edit]

This article was started as an answer to the project note that the infobox on the topic was filled with red! In addition to making this high importance topic more accessible, I'm hoping fellow editors also will use the opportunity to help fill in some of the "red links" in the infobox also. Updated list but many red links[edit]

I added GIAC, Comptia, Offensive Security, EC Council, ISACA and (ISC)2. A lot of these have no corresponding articles, so a lot of red links. Some are only mentioned in the article for the certifying body. Offensive Security has no article at all, which is odd, because the Offensive Security certs are the preeminent pentest/offensive security certs. Not sure where to go from here. A lot of these certs are notable in themselves, so wouldn't need an article. Maybe kill the link entirely, or link to corresponding article on certification body. 60.240.207.146 (talk) 07:58, 30 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

edits to table[edit]

I have moved the certification issuer or vendor to the far left column. Some of the vendors issue so many certifications that the chart is hard to read when the name of the issuer is centered vertically, so I added colors as a visual aid. (The choice of color is arbitrary and has no meaning.) Please check over to make sure that I made no mistakes. Also can somebody please explain the strange pricing scheme? e.g. “760,00” for the CISM certification, “950,00” for the CEH, et cetera? It seems this was introduced with this edit. The 5-digit numbers, one would associate with a degree program rather than a certification; the only certification I know of that requires over $10,000 to learn is the CCIE.
