"The College"[edit]

Is that really appropriate for W&M? Any college or university is referred to by the locals as "the College" or "the University." I have spent time in Virginia and have never heard W&M referred to as "the College" except in Williamsburg, where you would say "the DMV" to refer to the local DMV office or "the mall" to refer to the outlet mall. I suggest this be dropped. --Bored07 16:13, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I graduated from William & Mary and nobody outside of Williamsburg calls it that. I've removed the nickname. Jrcla2 (talk) 05:40, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Four years later, the list looks good to me. Thanks, AstroU (talk) 00:33, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
