Totals

The total number of commissioned ships does not appear to include HMS Protector. Is this correct? It is a commissioned ship owned by the Royal Navy proper. The four survey ships are included, but HMS Protector is not. Thom2002 (talk) 16:57, 20 June 2014 (UTC)

I think Protector is included, I counted 78 and the article says 78. What number are you getting? Antiochus the Great (talk) 17:11, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
Just noticed that there are actually only 22 patrol ships, not 24 as stated in the intro. Now I get 77!

6 destroyers + 13 frigates + 10 submarines + 15 minesweepers + 22 patrol + 1 Lusty + 1 Ocean + 2 LPD + 4 survey (echo, enterprise, scott, gleaner) + 1 Antarctic Patrol + 2 classic ships = 77. But I'm not counting Endurance, which perhaps I should. Thom2002 (talk) 19:45, 20 June 2014 (UTC)

RFA

OK, so technically the Royal Fleet Auxiliary isn't part of the Royal Navy, however most of the other 'List of Active XXXX Navy Ships' pages do list their auxiliaries even some that, like the RFA, aren't Navy badged. Would it be a good idea to include at least a foot note or a more detailed link to the List of Active RFA Ships page? By foot note I mean a proper linking paragraph rather than just the hyperlink at the bottom we have now. 2.26.201.159 (talk) 23:21, 19 March 2015 (UTC)

Endurance

Isn't it about time she was removed from this list and recorded as being decommissioned? Endurance no longer appears on the RN website. Argovian (talk) 19:14, 4 July 2015 (UTC)

Have removed from list as it appears she was decommissioned as long ago as 2012! See here. Argovian (talk) 17:17, 1 August 2015 (UTC)

"Classic"...?

Just curious as to why the HMS Bristol (D23) is listed as a "classic ship", in the same table as the 18th century sailing ship HMS Victory? - theWOLFchild 03:15, 20 December 2015 (UTC)

Good point, changed it to Historic. Cheers. Antiochus the Great (talk) 20:41, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
Actually, I had a different idea. - theWOLFchild 01:14, 27 December 2015 (UTC)
Looks good. Cheers. Antiochus the Great (talk) 12:39, 27 December 2015 (UTC)

When do we include HMS QE?
