Michelle and Ashley

somebody is putting spoilers on ashley and michelle's biography by putting them that they debuted on May 30 Smackdown TV TApings so i delete it and i'm tire dthat the same person puts the same thing over and over again

User:JustMaria 24:46; 31 May 2006

That happens all the time. We just have to hope that they eventually give up. Don't know how else to do it. --JFred 00:56, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
if your tired of it then dont chance it, it's not like its a big deal anyways, your making a fuss over nothing as usual Lil crazy thing 07:31, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Part-time wrestlers

Who exactly is considered a part-time wrestler other than Foley and Taker? I'd rather group the part-time wrestlers with the full-time wrestlers rather than the non-wrestlers, mostly because once they do wrestle, others will usually readd them to the full-time list, even though they are still part-time. --JFred 08:24, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

i'm not to sure but theres a couple more, the only way to stop that is too remove the part time bit from the heading Lil crazy thing 12:09, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Jfred just said no spoilers. so what they put on Michelle's and Ashley profile was spoilers,

User:JustMaria 12:12 1, Jun 2006

That was part of the greater problem in the edit wars. I'll group Foley and Taker with the roster and remove the heading bit. DGX 17:45, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Part-time/Non-wrestling

Ok, I found more examples of what might need to be done to the page to make it more accurate. Non-wrestling means they don't wrestle at all right? Then what about:

  • The Coach
  • Shane McMahon
  • Vince McMahon
  • Lita
  • Maria
  • Daivari
  • Chavo Guerrero
  • Jillian
  • Kristal
  • Sharmell

All of these people have stepped into the ring before and wrestled, so they wouldn't that mean they were part-time wrestlers? They certainly not non-wrestlers since they do in fact wrestle. DGX 18:01, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

you could possibley put occasional wrestlers or something, so you havent got the part time bit in it Lil crazy thing 19:38, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
... whats the differance between part-time and occasional? DGX 19:45, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
i just think occasional would be better as part time can be taken different ways Lil crazy thing 20:05, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
That was part of the problem during the edit wars also. People were getting confused to which section to place part-time, occasional and full-time wrestlers. Occasional, can be seen as the defined either by the same meaning of part-time or it can mean that the wrestler only appears when they have to wrestle, or so many other variations of the meaning. Thats why I grouped them together before, no confusion to which subcategory to place them. Now we got the issue of which category to place each of the people above. DGX 20:18, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Then let's put a list saying Occasional Wrestlers

User:JustMaria 3:19; 1 June 2006 (UTC)

No, that will only progress the edit wars. DGX 20:25, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

For/of

This is a really minor problem with the page. In the note after Armando Alejandro Estrada (Hazem Ali), it says: "manager of Umaga". However, all the other managers say: "manager for [Name]" (they are Lita (Amy Dumas), Melina (Melina Perez), Daivari (Shawn Daivari), The Leprechaun (Dylan Postl) and Sharmell (Sharmell Sullivan-Huffman)). I really don't mind whether it says for, of or [Name]'s manager. However, I do think that this should be consistent with the rest of the page, so something needs to be changed. 13756 18:19, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Fixed. DGX 18:27, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Remember

remember guys when smackdown finishes on TV tomorrow we will put the female section, not before smackdown starts nor during when smackdown is airing

User:JustMaria 3:14; 1 June 2006 (UTC)

request for unprotection

i am requesting unprotection because we were fine before and this page was fine until it was changed all the time and i think its unfair that it was locked unexpectly without giving us warnings and we have not vandalized this page at all , NOW PLEASE DO UNLOCK THIS PAGE AND PUT EVERYTHING BACK NORMALLY , THANK YOU !

Request for unprotection is denied. I can't help if your not a vandal. Create an account if you want to make contributions to it. Otherwise, it's not going to be unprotected so vandals can edit it. DGX 01:18, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

About Beulah

If Beulah is still not sure she is going to be with the new ECW shouldn't she be in the Inactive roster since S.A.T have been sign but there not on the wwe page so they are in the inactive list so shouldn't Beulah be in the inactive roster?

User:JustMaria 1:29; 2 June 2006 (UTC)

True. Actually I don't think she has officially signed. I know that the news sites were reporting it, but she said herself that she hadn't. I think she should be removed all together until she or WWE makes it official. --JFred 18:30, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

I already put her on the inactive list

User:JustMaria 18:31 ; 2 June 2006 (UTC)

I think she was added when a forum or her offical site, I don't know which, said she was considering signing, I think it stated though she was considering it, she hadn't officially signed. But thats what I remember reading. DGX 19:45, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Plus her being Dreamer's wife has people assuming she's under contract. --JFred 00:22, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Just b/c she is dreamer's wife that doesn't mean she under a contract

Superstars Returning

I just watched SMACKDOWN! and michelle McCool and Ashley made their debut and it was told that Mr Kennedy is coming back next week and that Batista is coming back in 35 days. Shouldn't these things be added?

User:evil_eyes 8:01 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Also Funaki has been appeearing on Velocity so why is he inactive?

User:evil_eyes 8:06 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Funaki was injured after the Velocity taping recently. And we don't add roster changes until SmackDown! airs in the United States. DGX 23:38, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
And about Kennedy and Batista, we don't add spoilers anymore. DGX 23:39, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

Right. I forgot i see it before the United States. But Kennedy and Batista aren't really spoilers are they? I mean SMACKDOWN showed promos for them.

Evil eyes 01:46, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Just b/c theres promos that deosn't make them active wrestlers.

User:JustMaria 9:41; 2 June 2006

I never said that they should be active wrestlers but shouldn't it be put on the page for when they are coming back?

Evil eyes 03:01, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Sure but whenever they come back

User:JustMaria 10:10; 2 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks to whoever put the returning dates for batista and kennedy.

Evil eyes 21:45, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

User: 69.164.10.159

Somebody block him/her from editing Michelle McCool's profile, i try to write as much professional editor there is and he keep on puting that there rumors that Michelle would discipline and teach the divas on smackdown. Of course that is already true so y does he/she keeps on putting stuff.

Somebody block this user

User:JustMaria 9:39; 2 June 2006 (UTC)

A. We should warn people before we ban them, and B. Please, no personal attacks. Trosk 23:23, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Victoria Crawford

Somebody deleted her profile

User:JustMaria 12:31; 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, she wasn't considered noteworthy enough right now. Maybe in a few months she will be noteworthy enough for it to be recreated without being deleted. --JFred 20:27, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Jack Black

I know this is stupid but has anyone considered Jack Black's position in WWE due to his new WWE profile? :P --Oakster (Talk) 21:33, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

WTF? That is definately there purely for movie promotion purposes. --JFred 22:44, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Yeah. Still, pretty funny. --Oakster (Talk) 08:54, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Shannon Moore - Signed contract and is being considered for ECW brand
  • Sylvester Terkay - Signed contract and is being considered for ECW brand
  • Test - Signed contract and is being considered for ECW brand

Actually, the Pro Wrestling WikiProject states that alphabetization should be done by last name. Also, the problem I have with grouping the inactive with the brand is that some recent signees are not assigned to a brand yet (Yang, Moore, Terkay, Test...), or, in JBL's case, is no longer assigned a brand. This is why we set it up the current way to begin with. We could try and seperate the injured from the plain inactive and put the injured under the respective brand, but that might be a little difficult to do. --JFred 22:42, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
I think that that JFred's idea about separating the injured from the other inactive, in asuch a way, is a good idea. It would increase clarity, as the injured will be definitely returning, whereas there are some question marks over the status of most of the other inactivities. It would also stop the reader from having to scroll down all the time (personally I find this annoying, because I like to look at the inactive list a lot, because it changes frequently). 13756 12:52, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
Done. --JFred 16:50, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Harry Smith

Didn't I see him at the beginning of Monday's RAW chasing off the ECW guys? If so, then why is he inactive? Also, I can't find Nuzio, where's he gone? 13756 01:34, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

Even though Harry Smith was on RAW, he wasn't acknowledged. As for Nunzio, if you saw WWE vs ECW Head to Head, he's back in ECW as Little Guido. --JFred 01:54, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
When did he pick up that name? I saw the Head to Head, but he was still Nuzio. Is this some kind of soiler? 13756 11:12, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Tazz refered to him as Nunzio, then Joey Styles corrected Tazz and said he is Little Guido. --JFred 15:49, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Also, as Harry Smith has made his appearance on RAW, how does that make him any different from Drew Hankinson, who has also made appearances, but is considered active. Surely, then, Smith should be moved up to the active list? I'm not quite sure how you can ignore someone. 13756 12:31, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, as soon as that segment aired at the beginning of RAW Monday, I moved him to active. However, internet reports (which many editors follow) state that WWE doesn't want to debut him just yet. Apparantly his appearance on RAW was just a fluke, and he was sent out without appropriate forethought. With that said, IMO, he has already debuted for the brand, wrestling at house shows and doing pre-RAW dark matches, and even though his appearance on RAW is considered a fluke, he is already a member of that roster, so I think he should be added. --JFred 15:49, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
The Highlnders have wrestled house shows as well and reports state they're not debuting Smith for several more weeks and his appearance was a complete accident. I'm moving him to Inactive until he is officially debuted. --- Lid 05:08, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

Proof that Shelly is going to ECW

CREDIT: LORDSOFPAIN.NET

Shelly Martinez is being called up to the ECW brand. She made an appearance on Velocity in early May as Paul Burchill's valet, however, WWE officials weren't impressed with her TV appearance and she was promptly sent back down to Ohio Valley Wrestling. She is playing Seth Skyfire's girlfriend in OVW.

User:JustMaria 5:39 ; 11 June 2006 (UTC)

how is that proof?

Can't u read the first line and who are u

User:JustMaria 6:01 ; 11 June 2006 (UTC)

I wouldn't move her over just yet because there is no official confirmation by WWE. Just because it is reported on a "news" site doesn't mean it is 100% official. --JFred 23:41, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

...Yeah what he said... ^

JFred first of all this is not WWE.com, ok this is wikipedia.com, we do not have to follow WWE, ok if we see news involving superstars moving to brands then we moved them, we do not have to wait until WWE confirmed it! this is wikipedia.com not wwe.com, ok, so we do not have to wait until they confirmed. 90% chance that all the news that we here from lordsofpain.net, gerweck.net, pwinsider.com ..etc...... are true ok, i do not know y everthing has to be confirmed by WWE.com, this is not wwe.com.

User:JustMaria 9:09 ; 11 June 2006 (UTC)

Yes, but WWE has a habit of changing their minds. Besides, it can also be considered a spoiler. --JFred 02:47, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
News sites reported that they were interested in Jeff Hardy, and people wanted to add that, too. It could be a LONG time before Hardy shows up, if he ever does, and it could be a long time before Shelly shows up as well. It 'confirms' she's going to ECW, sure, but it doesn't say WHEN. They weren't impressed with her, so what's to stop them from letting her train her skills for another year before moving her to ECW? JFred is right on both counts - the proper action here is to wait for WWE.com to give the official, confirmed announcement or wait for her to show up on TV.Tigermave 14:16, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

First of all wwe.com is not going to confirmed it, they would add Shelly and TRinity to the page whenever they make their ECW debut, but see that's Jeff Hardy which the reason is b/c TNA wanted him back so he had so problems, as for Shelly there is nothing wrong with her b/c ECW only has 2 female and they need to add at least 2 more, so Shelly and Trinity for sure are going to ECW, no doubt about it. JustMaria 11:39, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Signs point to calling up Amish too, and he's far more likely than Shelly but we haven't moved Amish to ECW yet. Until they've debuted or it's been an official signing/dismissal from OVW they have to be listed where they are currently. Moving her to OVW. --- Lid 17:06, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

First of all OVW does not need to dismiss their upcoming wrestlers that are going to debut on the brand, ur stupid. Fine put Trinity and Shelly in the inactive list and i will put that they are being considered to be part of the new ECW brand

JustMaria 12:10; 12 June 2006 (UTC)

I dont think we need to wait till wwe.com confirms something cant we use other resources to confirm stuff if you write into some insider sites the respond with detailed answears just ask them if its a rumor or is their some confirmation on it happening.... some wrestlers have myspace and some newspaper interviews give stuff anyway I think wikipedia should post possible confirmations but not rumors...

Writing into a news site to get confirmation for news you plan to put into a Wikipedia article is strictly forbidden. It's Original Research, and it's against the rules - see the guidelines if you haven't: original research. JustMaria is purely speculating that she THINKS it makes sense for Shelly to go to ECW. It might, and it could very well happen, but it has not and we have no official confirmation that it will definitely happen. A news site is not considered 100% accurate and by no means does everything reported on one happen. I have no problem if you put being considered for ECW brand but they don't belong on the ECW roster list until they're actually ON ECW programming, or their debut is officially announced.Tigermave 16:21, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Barbie Blank

I've moved Barbie Blank to the inactive list, b/c pwinsider.com reports taht Barbie would likely debut for ECW

User:JustMaria 1:48 ; 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Teams that need adding.

Eugene and Jim Duggan should be added, as I believe they consitute as a team, and not just a manager thing. They both have wrestled, and they have tagged together and the like. Similarly, Jim Duggan should be added to the roster, he has wrestled or been at ringside 4 times recently, two on Heat and two on Raw.

Also, Shouldn't D-X be added, as there return was now even confirmed on screen?

DX has already been added, and Jim Duggan is listed under RAW Non-wrestler. will add Eugene and my namesake as a team. --JFred 20:16, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

cena is in ecw now

No he's not, it was just an appearance like Edge. --JFred 18:42, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

Protection

This page needs to be permanently protected from Anon. IP's. --JFred 00:08, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

Thats agianst semi-protection policy I think. — The King of Kings 01:09, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

IP Address 70.111.251.199

IP Address 70.111.251.199 keeps messing with the format, since I've already reverted him twice (not counting when I was correcting other vandalism), someone else needs to fix this. --JFred 00:22, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

Injured

I think we should keep the inactive superstars in one area, don't you think? — The King of Kings 01:12, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

But some people, myself included, think that the injured should still be placed with their brand. It makes it easier to find them that way. --JFred 01:14, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
What about people like the McAlisters? Thier debuting soon for RAW and are weekly featured on RAW, they certainly wouldn't go to the others would they? Why don't we add all proper people with thier correct brand and others well.. go to the others. — The King of Kings 01:18, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

Maybe have people confirmed for a brand under that brand (injured, debuting soon, or just generally inactive) and rename the section Unassigned talent for those without a specific brand like Akio, Moore and Test? --JFred 01:20, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

I like Inactive for the brands and unassigned talent for the other. ;-) — The King of Kings 01:23, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
Awesome, working on it. --JFred 01:25, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
Consider something like this:
-Male
-Female
-Non-wrestlers
-Inactive
--Debuting soon
--Injured
--Other
I think that this is a good way of sorting out the inactive lists (where talent is still assigned to a roster). It is clear, easy to keep track of, and easier to change.13756 10:43, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
Sounds like an interesting idea, though the subsections are already at 4 ='s, and I don't think you can add anymore. Besides, the inactive lists aren't that long and there is already an explanation beside the names anyway. --JFred 19:15, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

What about the Zombie isn't he on the ECW roster?

No, that was a one time appearance (kinda like some of the jobbers on HEAT and Velocity). He was portrayed by Tim Arson.
I still think that the format of this article can be improved. For example, at time of writing it says in ECW female section: "Shelly (Shelly Martinez) - non-wrestling role". This can cause some confusion, as she fits into both female and non-wrestling categories. As you can get more ='s, more subsections should be the best solution. You could split the injured list up into "debuting soon" and "injured", and you could split the non-wrestlers up into "managers", "commentators, announcers and interviewers" and "acting roles" (e.g. General managers). Remember some time ago when there was a section for "commentators, announcers and interviewers", but they had to be included in the non-wrestlers section, because they didn't wrestle? Well, they could have there own sub-section. It would decrease the need for notes, which arguably make the article look untidy. RedvBlue 23:53, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, but even if you divide the non-wrestlers even more, the notes will still be needed, like who's an announcer or an interviewer, or who manages who. Besides, I don't think it's long enough to really split even further, especially since it won't necessarily remove the need for notes. I also don't think Inactive is large enough to be split, especially when that most likely won't get rid of the explanations either. --Dubhagan 00:40, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
As the inactive sections change frequently, sometimes the list will be large, sometimes it will be smaller, so I still think that there is reason to split that, as size shouldn't be a factor. As for non-wrestlers, this definitely needs to be split. Look at the referees, for example. It would be much simpler if each of the rosters included referees (despite what WWE.com does (I use this page because I believe it to be more accurate and systematic than WWE.com)), as for now, they have been given their own complete section, because they were not perceived to be best listed along with J.R., Armando Alejandro Estrrada and other non-wrestlers. If I wanted this page to be like WWE.com, then I would just use that. Referees can now be included, and they would need no notes at all if they had their own sub-section. With regards to other notes, no, not all notes will be eliminated. But most of those which aren't, would certainly be shortened. I still do not think that there is any good reason to not do this. RedvBlue 08:28, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

I've split the non-wrestlers and I've put the refs with their brand. However, since the inactive list is ever changing (changes almost weekly) and has never gotten that lengthy, I would say no to that split. --Dubhagan 21:31, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

I see what you've done by not having all the Managers/valets, Announcers, commentators and interviewers, Referees and Other on-air talent all under a 'non-wrestlers' heading. You are very clever to take that out, because I have just realised that it is far better without that because there are part-time wrestlers, and occasional wrestlers (e.g. Lita), so it could have been controversial. As it is, everyone under the same roster is in the right place. Good job! RedvBlue 21:55, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

CM PUNK ECW???

I've never heard anything about this. I could understand CM PUNK moving onto a WWE brand because he is a great wrestler but if someone could help me find some proof that would be great. Thanks. --Racer38 12:18, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

He's scheduled for the upcoming ECW house shows, as reported on several internet sites. --JFred 00:06, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks.--Racer38 11:27, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

No problem. Just to update, he actually wrestled at the ECW Arena house show yesterday (June 24). --JFred 19:08, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

Since she is returning tonigt on RAW, can she be taken off the inactive list--Yugioh73036 00:07, 27 June 2006 (UTC)Yugioh73036

Though a recent interview on WWE.com suggested that she is still rehabbing, this seems to have taken care of itself. RedvBlue 23:43, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Headers

I created the Wrestlers and Non-wrestlers headers and put Male and Female under Wrestlers and the rest (excluding inactive) under Non-wresters. I feel this provides less confusion. --Dubhagan 23:31, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Imposter Kane

Why isn't the "imposter Kane" on the main raw roster? - I know there is a probably a good reason but can someone explain please? Thank You

Drew Hankinson has been moved back to the DSW roster under his DSW name, when he does reappear on RAW, I doubt he will be referred to as the "Imposter" Kane since he no longer has the mask. When he does reappear, I'm sure he'll be moved back up under whatever new gimmick name they give him. --Dubhagan 22:40, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
Just to add, since he has been unmasked, I think it's safe to say he can no longer be referred to as the "Imposter" Kane. --Dubhagan 23:07, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

The Highlanders

Why arn't the Highlanders on the main roster, they havn't debuted on television but CM Punk is on the main ECW roster and he hasn't made his television debute... They have both done house shows and same with Batista... If there not Active neither should CM Punk. (In my opinion) Share your thoughts... Or correct me if I am wrong Thank You..

Both Highlanders and Punk should be inactive, has been fixed. --Dubhagan 22:50, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

Hacksaw Jim Duggan

I think he should be removed from Raw roster I don't think he will be used any more... He had his little feud with Umaga... Now Umaga is on to other things maybe he'll fight other legends... or something...

He appeared last week and tonight on Raw. He is an official fixture on the show.

Queen Sharmell

I think Queen Sharmell should just be named Sharmell, on the WWE roster it just says Sharmell, and there is no WWE trademark for the name Queen Sharmell. Also they only refer to her as Queen Sharmell sometimes... That like calling the Litte Bastard a Troll because thats what they called him once or twice... I dont know that just my opinion...

Kevin Fertig

In ECW Kevin Fertig is refered to as only Fertig (I think) so I believe that thats what his name should be on the wikipedia WWE roster page. and next to currently in a non-wrestling role it should say vampire in brackets. And for Shelly Tarot Card Reader in brackets. Although Fertig will be in a wrestling soon... I seen him on a card for a house show.

Fixed. --Dubhagan 22:52, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

C.W. Anderson

Has he made an appearance on television yet? What classifies people to active or inactive? Just wrestling at a house show or wrestling on TV because there is people who havn't appeared on TV yet, but are active. You shouldn't consider someone active until they debute on TV.

Someone keeps adding him and CM Punk to the active roster because they have competed at houseshows, even though policy explicitly states that they are only considered active once they've debuted on TV. Both he and Punk should really be moved back to Inactive. --Dubhagan 22:42, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
Fixed. --Dubhagan 22:51, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

Big Guido

Does he make television appearances? Is he only a part-time wrestler? Does he wrestle at house shows? Is he in attendance back stage during ECW or not? Should he be moved to inactive or no? Should he be kept as a manager?

Yeah, that one's tough. He did participate in the battle royal at the first ECW TV tapings, but then he hasn't appeared since. I'll have to look into it. --Dubhagan 23:05, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

Gangrel

So there not going ot be using Gangrel in ECW? or Are they gonna wait for him to get in shape?

Kurt Angle

Kurt angle has been suspened for 30 days.

Ultimate Pro Wrestling

According to ultimate pro wrestling official website

Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW) is happy to announce that the Southern California based promotion along with its highly regarded wrestling school, Ultimate University, recently signed on as an official talent scout for World Wrestling Entertainment® (WWE), the world-wide leader in sports entertainment.

Since its inception in 1998, Ultimate University (UU) has been at the forefront of the pro wrestling industry. The school has trained over 500 aspiring pro wrestlers. Over 20 of those dedicated individuals have been signed to WWE contracts. Many of today’s biggest Superstars now making waves in WWE first got their feet wet in the sports entertainment business while training at Ultimate University, and performing on UPW live events. Many others have been booked through UPW to appear in WWE television commercials, print adds, video game motion capture sessions, televised matches, dark matches (try outs) and as extras on WWE TV and pay-per-view broadcasts. UU is also an official American talent supplier for Japan’s Zero-One and Hustle pro wrestling promotions. Through its Ultimate Casting Division, UU has assisted its students in Hollywood, with bookings for commercials, TV shows, movies and live events.

That being said, Ultimate University has established itself as The #1 Pro Wrestling School in the Western U.S. As a result of our impressive track record of finding and training tomorrow’s Superstars, WWE has enlisted UPW in an official capacity to discover and begin the training process for potential WWE Superstars. Consequently, Ultimate University puts its students in the direct view of top decision makers from WWE Talent Relations, and offers the fast track to becoming a WWE Superstar.

UPW’s administrative staff takes the honor and responsibility of developing prospective WWE talent very seriously. UPW has put together a unique program in order to attract qualified prospects. Under this program, Ultimate University will offer short term Scholarships to determine whether or not these individuals have what it takes to make it to WWE. Those who qualify will be trained by UU’s talented faculty, including former WWE Superstars Frankie Kazarian and Aaron “Jesus” Aguilera. All fees other than a mandatory monthly $50 gym fee will be waived. This amounts to a $250 monthly training scholarship, plus the priceless opportunity to be presented to WWE’s decision-makers on a regular basis. Never before has this type of opportunity been offered, so we expect only the best and for the best to succeed. For detailed information on the Ultimate University Scholarship program, click here.

We at UPW are thankful for the honor of working with WWE, and are primed and ready to begin building tomorrow’s Superstars…today!

I'm not sure what point your trying to make, but UPW is just a talent scout, not a developmental territory. --Dubhagan 03:50, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

More ECW Roster

CM Punk hasn't debuted yet they just showed a video put him inactive to debute soon...

Also WWE isn't using the ECW refs any more.

Marty Rubalcaba has signed with WWE and will debut this weekend as a ref with ECW.

And Doug Basham is going to be on ECW house shows

Shouldn't Nitro & Melina and Edge & Foley count as a stable?

I remember seeing Edge and Foley teaming up before.MonkeyKid 04:10, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Monkey, Edge and Foley dont team any more... That story line is kinda done... And your right about melina and nitro..

A stable means a team of wrestlers. Nitro and Melina are nothing but a wrestler with a valet and it already mentioned next to Melinas name that shes manages Nitro, so nothing more is needed. — The King of Kings 04:27 July 06 '06

Message To People Who Edit

Ok you lock the page so people can't edit but than you let people who dont know anything put dumb stuff on it... And you dont even stay on top of it there is so much that needs to be fixed and updated it almost looks like a mess...

Please mind WP:CIVIL. List a problem, maybe we can fix it. — The King of Kings 04:37 July 06 '06

Referees

I am going to move the referees back to one section again until someone can come up with a valid reason/solution to have both RAW and SmackDown!/ECW refs on both sides. ECW is using RAW/SmackDown! referees, so its not proper to list the RAW/SmackDown! referees as only belonging to that particular brand. Moving the refs to a seperate section also reduces the need to move people from section-to-section whenever their reassigned. — The King of Kings 04:27 July 06 '06

Doug Basham & O'Reilly Neikirk to ECW???

Just like to get this out there, if a wrestler wrestles at a house show it doesn't count as a debute... Its only a debute when there shown on Television. So put who needs to be inactive, inactive. Thank You

Also a little side note take it for what its worth...

An ECW show on July 9th 2006 in Green Bay WI has Doug Basham and O'Reilly Neikirk scheduled to be there. So maybe put them as inactive but they could be jobbers...

O'Reilly Neikirk is also scheduled for a August 5, 2006 ECW show in Poplar Bluff, MO at the Black River Coliseum.

O'Reilly Neikirk is also scheduled for a August 6, 2006 ECW show in Jackson, TN at the Oman Area.

Doug Basham is also scheduled for a August 28, 2006 ECW show in Poughkeepsie, NY at the Mid Hudson Civic Center.

O'Reilly Neikirk is also scheduled for a July 30th, 29th, 24th, 23rd, 22nd, 17th, 16th ECW Shows.

Doug Basham is also scheduled for a July 24th, 23rd, 22nd ECW Shows.

I'm pretty sure you can put them both on the inactive ECW roster...

O'Reilly Neikirk? I believe that two seperate people, Ryan O'Reilly and Derek Neikirk. --Dubhagan 05:58, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, sorry I think there a tag team or something, they had the last names together... On the wwe website

Alphabetize Roster

Since I am new I cannot edit the page myself, but I think the listing of each show's roster should be alphabetical, keeps it neater and easier to read.

Um, it is, we use surnames. --Dubhagan 05:57, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Protection

somebody needs to protect the WWE Roster page unusers keep on changing everything

User:JustMaria

Kurt Angle

Its not kayfabe that hes been suspended 30 days!

Um, yes it is, your thinking of RVD. --Dubhagan 03:47, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Red links

I added back a few of the red links, but only for wrestlers under WWE contract. It amounts to no more than half a dozen, which is a safe number to have. --Dubhagan 21:55, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Looks good now. --Jtalledo (talk) 22:13, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Why are red links being unlinked? BionicWilliam 00:49, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Apparently there are too many of them. --Dubhagan 00:53, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Red Link Recovery - unlinking red links to articles that will probably never exist. --Jtalledo (talk) 00:57, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Headers

Well, User:68.93.122.215, do you feel like discussing the headers here? For those you just joining us, I have changed the headers from Male/Female to Male wrestlers/Female wrestlers. — The King of Kings 04:41 July 16 '06

Inactive wrestlers

Moe, I see your point with adding those who have debuted at house shows to the active roster. However, one could easily claim that as spoiler. Also, both Harry Smith and CM Punk are also wrestling houseshows, under your thinking, why are they still inactive then? --Dubhagan 05:11, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

The houseshows aren't going to replayed at a later date, so it's not a spoiler. I didn't know Harry and CM Punk were wrestling, I'll add them now. I only added the people who had the text are wrestling at house shows to the main roster. I must have just missed them. — The King of Kings 05:19 July 16 '06
I made the changes. Is Shannon Moore wrestling or just cutting promos right now? I haven't been following it much lately. — The King of Kings 05:28 July 16 '06
I haven't seen his name on houseshow reports, so I guess not. --Dubhagan 00:00, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
Oops, spoke too soon, Moore has wrestled house shows this past week. --Dubhagan 01:03, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

House Show Debut and TV Debut

I've noticed that we are putting wrestlers who have not made a TV debut in the active roster, they can't be active if only the people who went to the House Show have seen them wrestle. I think we should only put wrestlers who have been on TV WRESTLING on the active roster because if its a promo then they are not WRESTLING. --Racer38 11:08, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

If you have access to the Internet, you get house shows results beforehand. And those who didn't know about the debuting superstar would find out anyways since they would check to see the inactive list. Either way we list it, it's going to read like a spoiler. House shows aren't tapings replayed later in the week, its not a spoiler to begin with. Furthurmore, how is one inactive when wrestling? The fact they haven't been seen on TV is irrelevant because anyone who only follows wrestling by the Internet already knows about upcoming debuts. — The King of Kings 12:55 July 16 '06

Francine Fournier

Why is Francine being put in managers/valets section because she hasn't been managing anybody or accompaning anbody to the ring and also she should be put in the Female wrestlers section not the managers/valets section because pictures that i've seen of house shows she kind of gets physical with Kelly Kelly and also has not been managing anybody lately. COULD SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, THANKS.

She is now put in the female wrestlers section. — The King of Kings 18:49 July 16 '06

The Gymini

"The Gymini (formerly The Shane Twins) will be returning to the SmackDown brand very soon. One of the twins suffered a shoulder injury not long ago keeping them off TV and the road."

Lets keep inactive wrestlers on the inactive list until they wrestle again. — The King of Kings 15:29 July 17 '06

Kurt Angle

I don't think hes also taking time off to injuries, on insider sites it was first reported he was. A later update indicated they had been wrong and he was actually susspended a minimum of 30 days atleast for unknown reasons. One would believe he had a backstage arguement about being in the new ECW and now he may return to Smackdown on his come back.

Rumors are the last thing that we need. — The King of Kings 15:30 July 17 '06

why dont you just contact someone that actually knows about this (Dave Scherer) from pwinsider

Ok, I will. Just give me time to e-mail him and get a response though. — The King of Kings 00:57 July 18 '06

I was right thats natch

Kurt's wife is giving birth and thats why they sent him home for a while. WWE/ECW is very hush-hush about it though. Debt Jr.

Inactive or Active

When first coming to Wikipedia, I was informed that all wrestlers are to remain inactive till they make an actual television debute.

Things change. :) — The King of Kings 15:32 July 17 '06

Commentators, etc. and On-air talent merge

I have merged these two sections together. There are several advantages to this:

  • The TOC is way less expanded across the page and its about 5 sections shorter
  • The long and annoying header "Announcers, commentators and interviewers" is gone
  • There is more than 1-2 people in the "other on-air talent" section now
  • The notes can still distingish commentators, etc. from other people without the extra heading. All the extra heading allowed was another section to go to and it still had notes next to it, but with or without the old section there was still going to have to be notes next to the persons name.

If you have any problems, let me know.. — The King of Kings 15:58 July 17 '06

Champions

I have an idea, you know how theres the Stables and Tag Teams well under that have a section called Champions and have each Championship with the holder beside it. Its just and idea if its good or not its up to you.

Not so important to have it on the roster list. This list is primarily kept to keep track of who's contracted to WWE and it's devleopmental territories, not to track current championship status'. This also could bring upon conflict to potential situations like RVD holding RAW's heavyweight title while being a ECW wrestler, then what would we do :| Better not for now. — The King of Kings 22:05 July 17 '06
