The text said that it excluded rockets. I've derestricted this, since there's actually very few rockets that can land successfully (rather than crash).

Citations and sources are needed[edit]

Please be sure that all additions to the List of VTOL aircraft article are verifiable. Any new items added to the article should have inline citations for each claim made. As a courtesy to editors who may have added claims previously, before Wikipedia citation policy is what it is today, many of the existing unsourced claims have been tagged {{citation needed}} to allow some time for sources to be added.N2e (talk) 14:00, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lockheed Martin-F-35 Lightning II[edit]

As far as I know the F-35 also has VTOL capabilities. I don't see it in this list, is there a reason for that or did they forget to add it? Thibo Renty (talk) 21:36, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, I didn't see it in this list sorry to bother you. Thibo Renty (talk) 21:37, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

a table would be better or a better list[edit]

With a table it's obvious how to do it. But for a list should probably separate jet and rotor based. also add STOVL Gendalv (talk) 13:56, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I also had the thought to turn it into a table/sortable list. SqueakSquawk4 (talk) 11:51, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. I always hate these lists, there're difficult to use to search, not very interesting for browsing, and tell you almost nothing about the vehicle.
I'll have a start at turning it into a table SqueakSquawk4 (talk) 19:35, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
