Loy E. Barton is still Missing[edit]

Untitled[edit]

I left a comment about the misspelling of Loy E. Barton's name on the UoA page along with an excellent link that tells his entire story. I see that the section has been moved here except that he has been deleted entirely. I began my career in the broadcast industry when I signed on at KUOA in 1954. It was then that I first learned who invented the modulation system used by probably 90% of AM radio transmitters in the World up until the introduction of solid-state systems. Read this chapter in the Roots of Radioseries [1] in one of the major journals of broadcasting and give the man his due. I don't feed at liberty to edit the main page, it should be done by one of the regular editors. Obee1 (talk) 00:32, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How about Joe Johnson of the NBA's Atlanta Hawks, he's made a couple NBA All-Star teams now, does that qualify as prominence? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 155.33.162.153 (talk) 22:02, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
