Where's Hershey's Syrup? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.160.71.146 (talk) 01:21, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Source?[edit]

What's the source for the claim under the milk chocolate that "Due to its almost universal availability, it is often used as a standard by which to compare other chocolates and chocolate products"? Has Hershey's milk chocolate "universal availability"? To my knowledge, it is virtually absent from all chocolate markets in Europe. Second, I sincerely doubt that it is used as "a standard by which to compare other chocolates and chocolate products". Again, most Europeans, when exposed to Hershey's milk chocolate, generally find the taste quite appalling. The vast variety of European chocolates are in my experience never compared to Hershey's, as this would lead to a classification such as "Bad: Hershey's" - "Good: Everything else". I'm not trying to make fun of Hershey's here, I'm just saying that it is so different from European chocolate that most Europeans can't stand the taste. I suspect that the claim in this article is applicable to the American market only. Which cannot be called "universal". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.247.40.40 (talk) 01:34, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

140.247 seems like a very discerning person. I would be very interested in his views on American automobiles, food, manners, music, literature, etc. etc. etc. BTW There was a chocolate competition held in Paris, France in 2009. The USA came in 2nd to Japans 1st. The UK was 7th. Talk About LAUGHING. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.32.7.207 (talk) 19:56, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This page needs some pretty serious help. If nobody has objections, this chocoholic would be happy to start making changes. My first item will be to rearrange the list of canies and create two, vice three, categories: chocolate and non-chocolate. If you have issues with this, let me know. Otherwise, I'll start in the next couple of days.163.252.218.140wlm

By all means, please do. tregoweth 20:35, August 3, 2005 (UTC)

Hey...uh, hasn't this page been cleaned up now? Does it still need the tag?

"Hey...uh, hasn't this page been cleaned up now? Does it still need the tag?" I have removed the tag. Thanks ZPMMaker 02:00, 28 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Should we add a stub tag? This article will still require company history, finance, etc. for it to be encyclopedic (and thus, does it need a wikify tag)? ZPMMaker 01:57, 31 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Can a personal e-mail be cited? I once sent Hershey a question about their Miniatures assortment, and they wrote back to me that the original assortment in 1939 consisted of Milk Chocolate, Krackel, Bittersweet (later renamed Semi Sweet), and Aero (a nougat-almond). Mr. Goodbar was added much later, Aero was removed, and Semi Sweet was replaced with Special Dark ("a completely different product," the letter said). Hardly "unchanged," as the article states.

Cookies n Cream[edit]

Having bought this bar today only to be surprised about the non standard ingredients. I am pretty sure it does not meet the standard of identity for White Chocolate hence if you ever pick up a bar of the stuff with the new wrapping you will find that it doesn't say "white chocolate" anywhere on the package.--Bushido Brown (talk) 21:24, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cabury Eggs[edit]

The article says Hershey's makes the Cadbury Eggs sold in the US. The last ones I bought said they were made in England. Does that mean Hershey's makes the eggs in England, or do they simply package them? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.28.137.122 (talk) 01:05, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Major Revisions[edit]

I revised and updated the list to reflect the products sold from the Hershey website. I wasn't sure whether to bold each brand name or not, and the article is inconsistent throughout. Furthermore, I didn't do the non-chocolate section, which also needs serious work. So these edits are only a start. Scientific29 (talk) 18:16, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't the page have the non-milk chocolate disclaimer on it?[edit]

Shouldn't the page have the same non-milk chocolate disclaimer on it that's on the other impacted Hershey's candy bar pages(Whatchmacalit, Milk Duds, Krackel, Mr. Good Bar, etc.)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.52.215.232 (talk) 19:39, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Absent bars[edit]

Hershey's made 2 bars not included here: Rally and Grand Slam. I recently saw a re-introduction of sorts for the Rally bar in our local Walgreen's store. It was only in store for about one month. I am assuming it may have been a test market thing. Thoughts?THX1136 (talk) 16:14, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ex-Hershey brands[edit]

Brands such as Scharffen Berger are no longer owned and/or manufactured by Hershey. They should be listed in a separate section as former brands. Penelope Gordon (talk) 16:57, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
