Is it really necessary with all the requests for citations? This is a listing and all relevant citations should be found at each individual bio/article? --Enricokamasa (talk) 02:13, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't this a list of swedish inventors rather than inventions? Also alot of there inventions seems to be minor inventions rather than major ones. For example celcius didnt invent the thermometer, he invented a scaling system. Except for the dynamite (which has discontinued production today) and the safety match. There doesn't seem to be that many genuine swedish inventions. For example Boris Hagelin didn't invent the encryption machine he simply built it using another persons patent. Ericsson started a company? That apparently counts as an invention in sweden. Jonas offel didnt invent the revolver. Sven Åderman didn't invent the machinegun nor did John Ericsson invent the propeller. This page is full of factual errors, and seems to be written in a very biased way towards sweden. Just to inform the swedes. "According to a study by MITI - Japan's equivalent of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - concluded that 54% of the world's most important inventions were British. Of the rest, 25% were American and 5% Japanese". The title should be "list of swedish inventors" and someone should remove alot of the inventors here, they aren't really inventors but rather businessmen who reinvented or used patents from others to create their business. Also major and minor inventors should be in two different groups. Most of these inventions are minor inventions. --anon

Haha! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.229.111.245 (talk) 13:05, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article renamed[edit]

In this list the name of the inventors are listed, and not the inventions. Shouldn't the article be renamed to "List of Swedish inventors"? --Living001 (talk) 10:01, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. If there are no objections, propose the article is moved to List of Swedish inventors. Whizz40 (talk) 05:54, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Whizz40 (talk) 08:04, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
