Formatting Discussion[edit]

I began to put the founding dates, although it will take a while. I reordered some of the list for my benefit in order of the founding dates, but I wouldn't be opposed to reverting the order to make it more user friendly. Any thoughts? --† Ðy§ep§ion † Speak your mind 03:22, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Looks good to me. Putting them in order of when they were chartered makes sense. Should we replace the Greek letters that are spelled out with the actual letters (ie change "Gamma" to "Γ")? I won't have time to do much more here for a while, thanks for helping out. Sorry a bunch of the schools links don't appear to work. AriGold 16:51, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just curious, how updated is the list of Phi Delta Theta chapters on phideltatheta.org? I'm a member of Mass Gamma (currently Phikeia), and as far as I know we're the only active chapter in Massachusetts. Vecter 21:36, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's not up to date. I noticed that too but I'm hesitant to delete any chapters which may be active. I don't know about chapter status unless anyone would be opposed to me including every single chapter. Later on people can come and make a notation which chapters are active and which aren't. --† Ðy§ep§ion † Speak your mind 02:05, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm new so I don't know all the quirks to Wikipedia, but why is the state name of Georgia and the name of Oglethorpe Univ. italicized? Ghwood (talk) 23:22, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was a formatting error. It's fixed now. ----Ðysepsion † Speak your mind 01:04, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sources Question[edit]

@The Banner: This article was tagged with both References need improving and need of third party sources. I disagree with these tagging, but I thought I should have a short discussion before removing them. Given the nature of this article as a list of all Phi Delta Theta Chapters, finding sources that are complete outside of Phi Delta Theta is going to be difficult. The only real way to do so would be to verify each of the 250+ chapters with information from the Universities. I would also argue that similar lists (List of Acacia chapters, List of Delta Tau Delta undergraduate chapters, List of Sigma Chi chapters, List of Zeta Tau Alpha chapters, List of Theta Xi chapters, List of Tau Beta Pi chapters, List of Sigma Nu chapters, etc...) have neither of those tags and some of them are listed as A-List Articles.
