Nothing about naming conventions.[edit]

I think it would be a good idea to have something which explains the naming convention and differences in, for example, the LM158 vs the LM258, or the LM358.

There is information about variois aspects of the 7400 and 4000 series. So, it only seems natural to include such information for these ICs as well. VoidHalo (talk) 21:32, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I agree wholeheartedly. I believe the difference is the LM3xx series are civilian spec and the LM1xx and LM2xx are aerospace and automotive spec. But I can't recall which is which. Or what the exact temperature specs are.

It's not a good time for me right this moment, I'm just getting ready for bed. But at some point I'll TRY (key word, my memory is swiss cheese) to make a point of looking it up in some datasheets or app notes and make a section about it. Using my resources as citations, obviously.

I don't imagine said section would be very long since it's just the spec. But I could look up the exact specs and hopefully others will add other information onto it from there. Again, hopefully being the key word. =P

The tricky part is finding some sort of formal documentation with the specs on it. There's plenty for TTL/CMOS parts, but as I recall, I never could find very much on analog chips. But, we'll see. VoidHalo (talk) 04:04, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
