Niether of these artists has a Wikipedia article. Salman Abbas is clearly a prominent artist and has been added to the list with a reference. However, reliable sources for Saadi Abbas are thin on the ground, leaving a question mark surrounding his notability. If you really want this artist to be listed, there is no reason why you can't go ahead and develop an article or simply locate a reliable source sufficient to include his name in the basic listing. Adding Iraqi Artists[edit]

I would like to propose adding two individuals to the "List of Iraqi Artists". Jamil Sidqi Al-Zahawi is a well-know poet and scholar (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamil_Sidqi_al-Zahawi) who has contributed significantly to modern Iraqi literature. The second is Muqbil Al-Zahawi, who a well-known Iraqi ceramicist (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muqbil_Al-Zahawi (page forthcoming) and www.zahawiart.com), who has creating cutting-edge coiled sculptures and exhibited them in Iraq, Europe, the Middle East and the U.S. Please consider adding them to your list of notable Iraqi artists given their contributions. -- Ziweee (talk) 18:52, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Done-- Both names have been added to the list. Muqbil Al-Zahawi has had his own article for some time. The article on Jamil Sidqi al-Zahawi was expanded with the addition of new references in order to establish notability in a definitive manner. BronHiggs (talk) 00:15, 7 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
