Homebrews[edit]

Should homebrews go on this list? So far out there are 4-Tris, Stonix, Stack'em, SameGame & Robots, Minehunter, Space Patrol, and a few others. --Mr z 21:13, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see that nobody has responded to this in a while, so I'll chip in: I think they should. Since 2010 (when I first joined the scene), Intellivision homebrew development has blossomed with new tools and a growing programmer community. The so-called "125 list" of "official" (canonical) games for the console has been supplemented by many collectors and enthusiasts to include them as well. We could separate the list between the canonical games and the home-brews; I think that may be useful. By the way, for full disclosure, I am a home-brewer myself. I just added my game to the list because I saw the others there. However, I marked them all with a new reference symbol (‖) to denote that they are homebrews. Bad (?) Links[edit]

I noticed that at least two of the links (bowling & chess) here direct you to a wiki-link for the respective games and not the Intellivision game cartridges. Bowling was (at least the one I had) was licensed by the PBA and said so right on the package. Ditto for chess which was licensed by the USCF. Anyone up to doing articles? incomplete footnote[edit]

I believe it was the Keyboard Component. The ECS came with a cut-down version of BASIC built-in ROM, so it wouldn't be a packaged release. DZ-Jay (talk) 10:35, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I see that this page is growing a bit stale and that nobody has touched it in almost eight years. Are there any contributors out there that want to volunteer in cleaning up this page? CHANGES[edit]

This list needs a lot of work...

Number Jumble and Go for the Gold were unreleased games. Since no other unreleased games are being shown here, they should be removed.

I'm not sure what Volleyball and Wrestling are supposed to be, since no other information is being provided. The two games they could be referring to are already listed under their proper names (Spiker! Super Pro Volleyball and Body Slam Super Pro Wrestling). As such, Volleyball and Wrestling should be removed.

Circus was an Atari 2600 game. I can find no information concerning an Intellivision version. As such it should be removed.

Golf should be changed to (PGA) Golf, following the standard used elsewhere on this list to reflect the original title versus the shortened Sears title.

NASL Soccer should be changed to (NASL) Soccer, and ABPA Backgammon should be changed to (ABPA) Backgammon , following the standard used elsewhere on this list to reflect the original title versus the shortened Sears title.

I can find no information out there on a game called Easter Eggs. Presumably this refers to Happy Holidays, which contained 3 mini-games, one of which was titled "Easter Eggcitement". Since this was an unreleased game, it should be removed.

Draughts is the same game as Billiards, just relocalized for the UK market. Lots of games were renamed for international markets, but no other instances are listed here. Perhaps these two should be merged into a single entry: Billiards / Draughts.

It's fine to show homebrews here. However, they should be listed separately from the original games. Consider how unlicensed games are handled at the bottom of the "List of Super Nintendo Entertainment System games" article. Likewise, if someone thinks that unreleased and unfinished games should be listed here, they should also be listed in a seperate section at the bottom. It wouldn't be a terrible idea to have the World Book Tutorvision games in their own list below, since none of these games could actually be played on the Intellivision (and they weren't ever released, for that matter).

The statement that "160 titles were released for the Intellivision." seems to be based on the current list, and thus is completely inaccurate and should be changed.

Well, no one's objected so I went ahead and made most of these changes.
