Sources for character info[edit]

Should we start putting up sources for the characters? One for each book where the characters appear or have any significance perhaps? It's about as obvious as you can get though. I mean, a list of fictional characters from a manga? Where on earth did we get this info? Wait, maybe from the manga??? HertzaHaeon 22:50, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was thinking of how to solve this problem for Alita, who appears in practically all the manga volumes except one, Last Order vol. 9. So is that 17 refs? --BrokenSphereMsg me 03:04, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I guess we could just put up a general list of all the books in a notes & references section. If there's any specific, non-obvious information it could be referenced in more detail. HertzaHaeon 01:15, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a Trade reference section as in Y: The Last Man. There can't logically be any other references for this kind of information, so I've removed the unsourced tag as well. HertzaHaeon (talk) 18:50, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Characters on other pages[edit]

Is it just me, or shouldn't the character list page be the main repository for character info? I'd like to move the character info from pages like Panzer Kunst and reference this page instead. HertzaHaeon (talk) 18:53, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That one's short enough; Type-V mutant is currently on its own, so those characters could stay there. Were there others that you had in mind? --BrokenSphereMsg me 19:41, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Those two to begin with. My proposal is to move the actual character listing to this page, and just have a bullet list of linked character names at the Kunstler and V-type mutant pages. The actual character information makes much more sense on the character pages, IMO. HertzaHaeon (talk) 16:02, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Both are short enough. We can deal with longer ones like the ZOTT when that comes up. BrokenSphereMsg me 19:55, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I'll try with the V-type mutants first, since they're only in BAALO. HertzaHaeon (talk) 21:13, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Transliteration for Ping Wu[edit]

In the Italian version, the surname of Ping Wu is not Weasel but Wizard. (Anonimous) 02-13-08 {{unsigned|80.180.21.16|03:24, February 13, 2008}]

That would be worth mentioning on the Italian Wikipedia entry for BAA: LO. BrokenSphereMsg me 16:32, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge[edit]

These individual character pages should be merged into this page as there are not enough independant sources to justify notability for their own page. --Kraftlos (talk) 22:27, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I am doubtful because of WP:SIZE
20K Caerula Sanguis
45K List of Battle Angel Alita: Last Order characters
27K Alita
13K Daisuke Ido
13K Panzer Kunst
10K Koyomi K.
9K Vector (Battle Angel Alita)
7K Type-V mutant
----
146K
Beside Panzer Kunst & Type-V mutant are more background related articles rather than characters so merging them with the characters list is awkward at best. However it may be possible to merge those two articles with the main Battle Angel Alita: Last Order article whose size is only 9K.

I've replied to a similar thread at Talk:List of Battle Angel Alita characters. Since these merges are similar, let's talk about it there. --Kraftlos (talk) 11:23, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I responded there, but I'll list the relevant articles here which have been migrated to the Battle Angel Wiki and can be merged:
  • Caerula Sanguis
  • Koyomi K.
  • Vector
  • Type-V Mutant
  • Daisuke Ido
