People could do SO MUCH work on this page!!

Saying that doesn't help... any suggestions maybe?

Don't show this page to the english department... it's pretty awful.

In terms of grammar?

This page is written well I think. If you think it's so bad, why don't you fix it? Wikipedia is a group effort. --TimD 04:32, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. If there is something you can improve, you should, Wikipedia encourages it.Syphondu 23:17, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Expansion efforts[edit]

The athletics section could easily be expanded. It only includes the Ultimate Frisbee team, and they aren't even an official LS team! They're just a club sport! Where are all the jocks who are so proud of their teams? --TimD 07:44, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

agreed. Oh and does anyone know the ls class percent that goes immediatly into collage?

Did Paula Poundstone go to LS? I know she lived in Sudbury as a kid, but I don't know if she went here.--TimD 07:10, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Paula Poundstone did attend L-S. In the 1990's she often returned to give "concerts" to benefit the drama program and the little theatre. I attended one. She joshed her former teachers, and asked questions about the "stairs people."

THE PROBLEM WITH THIS ARTICLE IS NOT THIS FACT OR THAT FACT

I appreciate the good intentions of the authors, but the problem with this page is that it written by those who do not know the history of the school. This is unfortunate because L-S is a very unusual school, as compared to most other American public high schools, and has a very interesting history. To reduce the history of the school to the construction of a new building, a tragic murder, and the author's personal dislike of a new superintendent is very unfortunate. Several histories of the school have been written and can be found on the school's history & culture page on the L-S website. (In fact, in 1995, a dozen students spent two years writing a books bout the school. It can be found on the website or in the library.)To write history, one first has to study it. It is inadequately researched articles like this that give Wikipedia a poor reputation in some quarters. 209.6.137.35 (talk) 00:48, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Quality and Cleanup[edit]

Whoever posted the cleanup sign should indicate what needs cleanup. This is a pretty good article I think. --TimD 18:35, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear god, the athletics section I just fixed was full of so many grammatical errors and point of view violations. SonOfMan 03:03, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Science Teams[edit]

Will somebody please explain the rationale behind deleting the Science Team Section? They are an integral part of LSRHS! Doidoi212001 21:24, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Photos?[edit]

Does anyone want to add photos of LS? I don't have any photos myself and I don't really know how to upload to Wikipedia... SonOfMan 23:49, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tone in James Alenson section[edit]

Meaning no disrespect to any individuals involved in this terrible incident, or to any wikipedia editors, I'm concerned about the tone in the January 2007 killing section. Words/phrases like "unfortunately", "kind and caring", tend to be POV, and while I personally agree with them, they're not encyclopedic. Anyone up for neutralizing the tone? — jmorgan (talk) 17:00, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

100% agreed TimD 02:05, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Random Info[edit]

I wanted to put that the CEEB/ACT code is 222088, but there isn't really an appropriate section. Any ideas? TimD 15:37, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Lincoln-Sudbury.png[edit]

Image:Lincoln-Sudbury.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Delete this ridiculous non-notable article[edit]

There is nothing about this school that makes it stand out from the thousands of other suburban central high schools in the Unites States. This is Wikipedia mediocrity at it's best (Wikipedia, not the school). This is nothing more than a "coat rack" (is that the right term?) for alumni and people presently associated with the school. This is not the kind of article that goes in an encyclopedia. Utterly un-notable. 72.93.182.247 (talk) 16:09, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RESPONSE

As someone who knows the school well, and knows that there actually are many things that separate it from 10,000's of other suburban schools, I have to agree with the critic who said that this piece does not belong in an encyclopedia and should be deleted. Again, you can't create something with nothing. First and foremost, you have to invest the time needed to learn about the history of the school before writing about it. History is not something that is casually written off the top of one's head.209.6.137.35 (talk) 01:34, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
