Question[edit]

Will Libertad have an explicit lyrics tag?

Not Sure[edit]

"Not sure about the track orders on the record, but these are completed tracks."

this sounds like someone talking from the first person. i'm changing the wording. If someone actually has the ordering, please share ItsNotLupus 03:03, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Track listing[edit]

The rumoured tracklisting section feels unfinished. I'm not sure it needs removal but it is far from perfect - it relies largely on speculation (although I understand confirmation is not available yet, obviously). In addition, I thought "Money" had been recorded for the Italian Job soundtrack prior to the release of Contraband, as an early promotion for the band - surely this would mean it is highly unlikely to appear on any later albums?

What you just said is equally as speculative as the artical entry --Ferdia O'Brien 00:26, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This might be just me but just because lyrics and such for a song appear in a video with a band member doesnt really mean its confirmed... anyone care to disagree before I remove it? --Ferdia O'Brien 00:26, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not to be an asshole, but I am going to disagree from removing it completely and suggest moving to the "Possible" section...if that isn't what you're thinking of doing.Wikirockz! 22:08, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Thats not what I was thinking about doing, thats what I did... like a month ago, you're prob right about the Messages The Left/Messages comparason though in fairness. Oh yeah, seems as we are entering into speculation slightly it might be an idea to change Unlikely to confirmed, or is that just pur of one, half dozen of the other at this point, given that the album is supposedly coming out in May..?--Ferdia O'Brien 00:19, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How about we do the unlikely as "Unconfirmed/Rumored"? That seems pretty good IMO...and maybe we should move Wasted Heart into the Unconfirmed section only because it was confirmed at a point when the album was supposed to be going in a totally different directions (concept album) and now it is supposed to be a straight ahead rock album. So it might have been pulled due to the change in direction. What do you guys think of that? Peace.Wikirockz! 05:08, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

Yeah I was thinking of doing that, but the artical used to be that was, so I assumed people would start b*tch*ng about it for the hell of it, like a lot of people seem to like doing in Wikipedia. --Ferdia O'Brien 16:19, 10 February 2100(UTC)

Alright, I'll refrain from moving Wasted Heart then. Can't wait till the album comes out though, it sounds slammin from the stuff on the website so far!Wikirockz! 07:29, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

-Why did the non-US tracks get deleted from the track listing? That's very useful information for those who aren't able to buy international editions. Would anyone complain if I put them back in?Zelbinian (talk) 08:04, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Album Cover[edit]

Features one of the sides of a 10 pesos coin that was made during the pinochet dictatorship here in Chile, which ironicly sayd "Libertad" (considering the brutal and censorship ridden regime, it was a contradictory conmemoration), today for obvious reassons the coin is no longer being made here.

freedom from communism! hell yeah!

What?, Allende was a socialist with Marxist tendencies, but he sure as hell wasnt a murderer like Pinochet who was responsible for the killing of over 3000 people and the torturing of over 35000. And btw, the coin is not an allegory for the coup, but nothing but a propaganda move, a sad move for something that never really was. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.83.56.249 (talk) 03:46, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Already Released?[edit]

In the UK, I just went out and bought this CD today, so presumably the date was wrong...

No, its was released today, and this is the 2nd, so the date is fine...

In Italy, a friend of mine bought the CD on Saturday 30, and I saw it and listened at it with my own eyes and ears. What's going on? --Army1987 09:33, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:VR Libertad cover.jpg[edit]

What?[edit]

"Libertad is the only album lead singer Scott Weiland has written sober"

why is this relevant? and are there any references to prove it?, im going to remove this line if there are no objections. Maxtitan (talk) 20:44, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"The name is Catalan and translates to "liberty" or "freedom" in English" Libertad means freedom and Liberty in Spanish too, and as far as I'm concerned Catalan is spoken only in Catalonia (or Catalunya in Catalá, or Cataluña in Spanish) and this is a little region in the north of Spain. Why should be Libertad a Catalan word????? Why not a Spanish word????? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.153.116.176 (talk) 17:32, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And it should mean that too![edit]

And it should mean FREEDOM from Marxism. Because Marxism is a terrible and evil system that just doesn't work in practice! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.161.102.214 (talk) 07:40, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
