on development section / referencing Toru Iwatani's book[edit]

Libble Rabble's development section makes some serious claims about Kazuo Kurosu's views regarding Makoto Sato's design direction. actually, this page is notable for having by far the most in-depth discussion about Sato and Kurosu's approach to creating games, despite the fact that Sato and Kurosu had both worked on Bosconian prior.

the source for this information (and much of the section) comes from Toru Iwatani's book. this is fine, however:

-i think the book is actually called "Pac-Man's Introduction to Game Studies", not "Introduction to Pac-Man's Game Studies", so i'm worried about the contributors translation (however i'm not an expert in japanese by any means - someone who is would be highly appreciated here)

-i cannot find a secondary source to back up this claim

i would ask the person who added this section, Namcokid47, to go into more detail about this source, but they have since retired their account. basically, most of this section hinges on the validity of this one source, so i think it's important to verify it - especially if there's more in there which is worth adding to other pages. and within the hour i have actually managed to find a source to back this up. this interview with Iwatani, Sato and Kurosu helps substantiate a lot of the claims (although admittedly i am still working with google translate to verify this). Sato says Kurosu was furious with just how different the second prototype was that he had developed. Sato himself claims to regret some of the changes he made.
