There are currently only 26 species listed here. More will be added when I find them. DrMicro 14:36, 1 April 2007 (UTC) Up to 40 species now DrMicro 15:32, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

L. bishopae looks to be a dubious species and may be removed shortly. DrMicro

Yo DrMicro, check out this paper. I don't know much about protists, but you might want to follow it up; looks like we got a new species here or something close to this genus. Dysmorodrepanis 03:31, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the paper. Looks very like another species but I would prefer to await an 'official' verdict on this one. There is an international panel who rule on these things. Given thar Wikipedia is an excyclopedia I would prefer not to include this until it has been ruled on. On the other hand having the ref to hand is immensely useful - to me anyway. Lapsus?[edit]

Should it not be Leucocytozoon? Dysmorodrepanis 03:26, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There are several spellings in the literature. Its a nuisance. DrMicro (talk) 14:23, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There are 107 species listed here. This is probably the entire genus unless new species have been described very recently. DrMicro (talk) 15:23, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
