He is a prolific jazz drummer, widely cited in numerous jazz articles and books, and he has a dedicated biography at AllMusic. He's also known for having introduced Charlie Haden to Ornette Coleman (Jazz Times (2000), Volume 30, Issues 1-5, p. 14; Strings (1995), Volume 10, p. 34]). Not only this, but this musician already has a page in the German wiki and is linked by dozens of pages in this one.
