This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because this is a fork from the main article which was overlong. This cannot really be included in the main article and there is plenty of precedent among cricket articles, for example Donald Bradman and Ricky Ponting. --Sarastro1 (talk) 22:02, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed the PROD notice as this article appears to me to cover an important topic in English cricket, is apparently well-researched and referenced, and reads well. If the nominator wants to take this to AfD then he/she can be assured that I will oppose deletion strongly there as well. Johnlp (talk) 22:33, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
