- Isn't Elves a proper noun in Tolkien's writings? I think all instances of Elf, Elves, or Elvish should probably be capitalized then, although I may be wrong.

- "Legolas helped fend off an attack by Saruman's wolves" - Maybe this is a little crufty and nitpicky, but weren't they technically wargs?

- I think Orcs should be capitalized, as it's technically a proper noun in-universe

- Normally blogspot isn't a great ref, but the author, Brian Sibley, seems to be a well-qualified person, if Brian Sibley is the same person.

- Ref 11 is flagging some sort of formatting error, not sure what the issue is.
