Deletion[edit]

Don't delete the article, of course, but the external link to the restaurant's website has to be removed--it has been defunct for years.--108.16.230.212 (talk) 04:00, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Former chef de cuisine[edit]

It is noted in a recent news article that the 'former chef de cuisine' of Le Bec-Fin was Peter Gilmore, who now runs "Gilmore's French Cuisine" in West Chester, Pennsylvania (opened in 2001). My understanding is that the chef de cuisine plays a large role in establishing and maintaining the quality of a venue. Other information in this news article includes: the venue is located in an 1890 townhouse; there are 36 seats and two seatings per night. I'll leave it to someone else to determine what to do with this information if anything. Reference: Patricia Talorico (April 26, 2006). "Honor thy reservation". The News Journal. pp. E1, E6.. Mobil Four Star Demotion[edit]

The dates given for the demotion are using two different standards and are therefore inaccurate. The guide's ratings are released in the calendar year prior to the official publication year. The ratings are released shortly before publication, I believe sometime in September or October, to the public. I believe this is done to take advantage of the holiday buying cycle. In any case, the point is this: Le Bec-Fin was indeed told in 2000 that it was being demoted to four stars, but for the 2001 Mobil Travel Guide. Two years later, in September 2002, the five star rating was restored to Le Bec-Fin, and published in the 2003 Mobil Travel Guide. I have edited the main page to reflect this.216.160.102.166Happysomeone —Preceding signed but undated comment was added at 18:00, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Georges Perrir Other[edit]

After the article compiled in Best Food Writing 2002 it is pretty clear that not only is Perrier a total ass, but he is habitually mysogonistic. and basically a Napoleanic complex having asshole. Typical for someone about 5 feet tall.lol its true

Maybe, but he also ran one of the best restaurants in the world. Not every misogynistic ass can accomplish that.--108.16.230.212 (talk) 03:58, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
