Background and family[edit]

...is sadly lacking. I guess she must also be quite sickly, with seeming constant references to stress and strain (she appears this way too). I guess she hasn't come from coal mining stock! Trivia section[edit]

Due to persistent POV pushing by Darth007, I have deleted the Trivia section altogether - as mandated by WP:LIVING. Other editors may wish to incorporate some of the trivia into the body of the article - but do bear in mind that YouTube is not generally considered a reliable encyclopaedic source. Photo[edit]

This page needs a photo as Lauren Laverne is hot. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.103.153.217 (talk) 21:18, 30 May, 2007 (UTC)

Now that one's been added, I think it could use a more flattering one--NeF (talk) 12:59, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

She does NOT look like courtney love on a bad day! Lets keep it anyway? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.198.88.28 (talk) 22:23, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Photo of lauren could be more flattering. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.141.184.4 (talk) 13:30, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tone[edit]

I've just added the inappropriate tone tag to this article: I would stick around to tidy it up, but I don't really have the time just now. Specific areas of concern:

  • "In all, Kenickie achieved four top 40 hits and a top ten album and became darlings of the British music press, due to their refreshing style and outspoken views."
  • "Laverne became just as famous for her funny and acerbic interview style"

Assessment comment[edit]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Lauren Laverne/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

It's actually a quite well structured summary. Covers all the main fields she has been involved in. Structured with photo and sensible headings for sections.

Has she presented Desert Island Discs?[edit]

I am sure I have heard that Lauren Laverne has stood in for Kirsty Young as a host of Desert Island Discs, and her first castaway was Tom Daley. If this is accurate, it could go in the article. Vorbee (talk) 10:37, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

She has indeed: see here. JezGrove (talk) 11:17, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

Her page is being vandalized daily by the same user. Can anything be done to prevent this?

Tomcuth (talk) 11:17, 14 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hear, hear. There is no place for vandalism here on Wikipedia. I demand sanctions on this vandal. Note that the vandal could well be Tomcuth. ~~me~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.44.76.198 (talk) 07:12, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sure when she reads your comments, Lauren Lavern will be quite miffed. Good work! /s Tomcuth (talk) 18:36, 19 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tomcuth, can you confirm that you are the vandal? This has all the makings of a false flag operation. Please be honest. Thanking you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.44.76.198 (talk) 06:55, 20 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
