dischronic or diachronic?[edit]

I informed the editor who used the word "dischronic" in the article that I was not sure of the meaning of dischronic (I like the sound of it, though). When I put the word into the Google search engine, the word has been used elsewhere, but infrequently. I was wondering if this was an alternate spelling of diachronic? Or perhaps a neologism of some kind? I haven't heard back from the editor. That was two weeks ago. So I'm changing the word from dischronic to the more likely usage "diachronic". Personally, I'm intrigued by this word "dischronic". It should be a word that is operative!! I'd like to think that dischronic may somehow "transmit" an active-use value, although currently it is not a word that appears too often around the web, near as I can determine. So it probably can't be used in a Wikipedia article! Too bad, though! As Homer Simpson might say "D'oh!" - Christian Roess (talk) 00:40, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
