L. capensis?[edit]

The section on captivity references L. capensis as the most common species, but the section above on species lists no such species. There seems to be little consensus from other sources as to whether a Lamprophis Capensis even exists, or if the so called 'Cape House Snake' is simply another variety of house snake that has been misclassified. Would be great to see this resolved. 24.163.67.92 (talk) 19:37, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Capensis was moved into Boaedon (along with other members of the fuliginosus complex) in November 2011. Most of the information in this article seems to relate to those species (the fuliginosus complex) as they were the most frequent Lamprophis species kept in captivity. Now that they have been reclassified as Boaedon, most of this article needs to be removed or at least rewritten to relate to the species that have been classified as definite members of the Lamprophis genus; guttatus, aurora, fiskii.
