Unit numbers[edit]

First black aviator[edit]

One item I noticed that is wrong is that Eugene Bullard is credited with being the first black military pilot in history; this is wrong, it was in fact Ahmet Ali Çelikten. Légions d'honneur (legion of honor)[edit]

The "Casualties and honors" section states that the "The Corps [...] pilots were awarded [...] four Légions d'honneur" but the page at https://www.neam.org/lafayette-escadrille/honorroll.html lists 30 members of the corps who were awarded a legion of honor medal. What is the correct number, should this article be corrected, and would the neam.org web page be an authoritative enough citation? Tfjaa762 (talk) 21:18, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, I came to Wikipedia to learn more about the documentary "The Lafayette Escadrille" (2020) and was confused to find two similar articles here - neither of which mentions this documentary, by the way.
