LNU getting it's own article[edit]

I don't understand why this fire has it's own article. This article should be re-merged with the article for the 2020 California wildfires. 2601:644:8B00:DEF0:B83B:7D06:4F15:4968 (talk) 17:50, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Based on Dripwoods' suggestion, I am proposing that Hennessey Fire is merged into this article. The Hennessey Fire is the largest fire within the LNU Lightning Complex, and there is also plenty of content overlap between the two articles. The additional info found in the Hennessey Fire article can definitely be incorporated into this article. I don't see how the Hennessey Fire is any more notable than the LNU Lightning Complex as a whole, similar to how the Doe Fire (the largest fire in the August Complex) is covered by the article for the August Complex fire. • Support – As the nominator, per my reasoning above. LightandDark2000 🌀 (talk) 22:39, 3 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - Wildfire is large enough to have its own article. The Hennessey Fire section in the main article can have a link to the Henneessy Fire article a gd fan (talk) 16:25, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - Even Cal Fire decided to designate the Hennessy Fire as part of the LNU Lightning Complex. So following the example of Cal Fire, we should merge this article with the LNU Lightning Complex. Also, we should follow the precedent set by other articles. For instance, there is no article on the Ranch Fire, even though it made up the bulk of the acreage for the Mendocino Complex. Even on the August Complex, many of the large portions have no articles(just like LightandDark2000 reasons). Since there is no arguing on those pages, it is illogical we would have a dispute over this article. But as stated, I support merging this article with the LNU Lightning Complex. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:644:8900:A88:24D7:CFD9:58FD:802D (talk) 18:05, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
